Examples of work we have done.
a showcase of what we can do now
Below are some examples of commercial work we have undertaken over the past year. Some of them are personal projects in the process of further refinements before launch or open source ideas which are under development.
We believe that 'work and play' can co-exist and by being able to spend time to experiment on new technologies, we are in a better position to offer our clients an expanded skill set as well as gaining experience in a totally new arena.

CuePoint
April 2009 - Present
CuePoint is our flagship product. It is a video encoding platform written entirely in Rails/Ruby which allows the end user to upload their own video files to be transformed into an FLV ready for display on any webpage. It relies on the AMAZON S3 service to store the finished encoded file which means it is completely fail-safe and available anywhere. It supports most current video formats and the resolutions for the finished product can be configured.
Application developers can use this platform to develop their own youtube-esque application. It even has an API to integrate with other applications. Please contact us directly for more information on this product.
Recent changes made to the app include the addition of GOD to monitor the mongrels and daemon processes; mailers to notify users when videos has been uploaded and encoded; and ability to push encoded videos onto youtube.
A microsite with further details and a working app is on the way. Watch this space or contact us for more information.
